Anonymous asked: god I would love to see you explain how you got a couple of the colorings found in your post here: /post/14473431697 especially the first, third, sixth, ninth and tenth :x

Okay, so that’s basically the same coloring on all of these, just with different Gradient Map colors. The easiest way would be opening my edit in photoshop and picking two colors that you like (here’s what color picker looks like in case you have trouble finding it; also have in mind that the darker color usually comes as foreground color and the lighter as background). Now, brighten up your picture with Curves and Brightness/Contrast, then  create a new Gradient map layer (Layers> New adjustment layer> Gradient map…) If you don’t like the result, try adding a Curves or Selective coloring layer and play around with the colors there; also Image> Auto contrast sometimes works too.

The only pic that’s a little bit different from the others is the ninth. The coloring goes pretty much the same, just if you want to get the 3D-ish effect, make your colored image a few (3-4) pixels bigger, copy it, then paste it on your normal sized image and double click on the layer of the bigger version. Uncheck whichever channel you prefer, try changing the blending mode, whatever looks good. I don’t remember the exact settings for this one so it’s all I can tell you, but experimenting and finding your own color combinations is always more fun that doing the exact same thing as someone else, imo.

And well, that’s pretty much it.
